Updated: Nov 21, 2022

You are looking for activities and sightseeing that has to do with nature? Then this blogpost is exactly what you were looking for. And they are all located right in the center, just a walk or metro ride away!

Jardín vertical

This vertical garden is an absolute highlight when you´re on the paseo del prado.

The "jardín vertical" is a vertical wall where they grew all different kinds of plants.

It is really spectaculat to look at this wall full of succulents, grass and greens.

This wall is part of the "Caixa Forum", a museum, but you can access the wall without entering the museum.

Estación de Atocha

This is a hidden gem of Madrid because usually you don´t visit the trainstation unless you travel by train.

But I encourage you to take a look, walk into the waiting area.

You will immediately see large palmtrees and other plant growing there.

The story behind this is that the entrance hall and waiting area is where the tracks were located in the past. Then, they build new tracks in a new building, that´s why they transformed it into a green waiting area.
